These terms and conditions of use

These terms govern use of the Hibi app and introduction site provided by Lumo (the “Operator”). Please read them when using the app. Minors should obtain the consent of their legal representative where necessary.

Acquisition, payment and licensing through the App Store are also governed by Apple's terms and, unless another valid license agreement is specified, Apple's Standard License Agreement . These terms do not limit rights granted by mandatory law.

Hibi is currently in development. This site introduces the product and provides illustrative demos; it does not accept purchases, reservations or payments. Viewing the site alone does not create a paid contract.

Features and requirements

Hibi helps with recording, transcription, search, reflection and conversations to organize your thoughts. Recordings and chats are saved on your device, and transcription and AI processing take place on your iPhone. It has no feature that sends these contents to an external AI.

The current development version supports iOS 18 or later, with optional Apple Watch features for watchOS 11 or later. Available features vary with device performance, free storage, OS, language data and other factors. At release, check the requirements and features shown on the App Store.

Conversations, search results and AI replies on this site are fictional samples. Site demos do not record audio or send real conversations to AI.

Recording and the information you handle

For information you record, import or share, comply with laws, your organization's rules, confidentiality obligations and third parties' privacy, copyright and other rights. Obtain the permissions and consent needed. Explain and check in advance as appropriate for the people and places you record.

Unlawful recording, infringement of rights, unlawful harassment or discrimination, unauthorized access and acts that compromise service safety are prohibited. This does not impose a blanket prohibition on acts permitted by law or open-source licenses.

Transcription and AI replies

Transcripts, summaries and chat replies may contain misheard words, errors, omissions or assumptions. Check the original recording or statements when needed, and make your own corrections and decisions. For replies that draw on records, we provide a way to check their sources.

Hibi supports everyday records and the organization of thoughts. It does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment, or professional judgments in areas such as law or finance. Do not rely solely on its replies for important decisions or emergency responses.

Data rights, storage and backups

Rights to content you record or enter belong to you or its lawful rights holders. You are not required to transfer broad usage rights or AI training rights to the Operator. The app handles contents only as needed for the saving, processing, display, sharing and other actions you request.

Data may be lost through device loss or failure, insufficient storage, deletion, uninstallation or similar events. Back up data you need to a destination of your choice, such as through ZIP export. The Operator cannot remotely restore data on your device.

Exported files and shared copies must be managed and deleted at their respective destinations. For information handling, see the Privacy Policy for details.

Price and payment

Hibi's Japan sale price is JPY 1,000 including tax, as a one-time purchase. There is no monthly or annual subscription or automatic renewal. It is currently in development, and a release date has not been set.

Purchases will be made through the App Store after release. The applicable price, including currency and taxes, is displayed on the store's product listing and final confirmation screen at purchase. Prices, currencies and conditions may vary by region. You are responsible for network charges and the costs of your device, connection and any optional storage destination.

For payment, availability, refunds and other details, see the Commercial Disclosure . If separate products or paid features are offered in the future, their conditions will be stated separately. No additional charges will be made without your agreement.

Changes, interruptions and discontinuation

Changes, interruptions or discontinuation may be needed to address problems, maintain safety, perform maintenance or respond to changes in laws, OSs and similar circumstances. Considering the impact on users, we will give advance notice of the contents and timing where reasonably possible and provide information needed to export data. In emergencies, notice may be given afterward.

Changes to these terms will be made with individual consent or in accordance with Article 548-4 of Japan's Civil Code and other applicable laws. We will appropriately announce the changes and their effective date. Unilateral changes do not permit unlimited alteration of existing purchase conditions or statutory rights.

Liability and statutory rights

The Operator works to maintain the service and address problems, but does not guarantee complete accuracy of recognition or replies, operation on every device, permanent data storage or similar outcomes.

If a user suffers damage for reasons attributable to the Operator, the Operator will be liable in accordance with applicable law. These terms do not exclude or limit liability for the Operator's intent or gross negligence, or liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Japan's Consumer Contract Act or other mandatory laws.

Governing law, courts and contact

These terms are governed by Japanese law, without preventing protections under mandatory laws applicable to you. Disputes will be handled by courts with jurisdiction under law. Contacting support in advance is not a prerequisite for bringing legal proceedings.
